  • How did 1922 start?

    • 1922 was founded by Brooke Silversides and Mike Dunn, with a vision of destigmatizing cannabis use while educating people about cannabis and cannabis products. To learn more about our growth, click here.

  • Is 1922 an independent shop?

    • 1922 is proud to be an independently owned and operated licensed recreational retail store. 

  • Is 1922 licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario?

    • We are proud to be a licensed cannabis retail store in Ontario– 1922 holds a Retail Operator License and our team holds the Cannabis Retail Manager License. The shop also has the Retail Store Authorization. This means we are licensed and authorized by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the provincial governing body that regulates cannabis retail in Ontario.

  • What is your location? When are you open?

    • 1922 is located in Old Town Toronto, at 120 Sherbourne Street. The closest intersection is Richmond and Sherbourne. Check out our Contact page for up-to-date information on opening hours. Can’t get by the shop? We also offer delivery!

CANNABIS REGULATIONS

  • How much cannabis am I allowed to purchase?

    • Ontario law states that you’re allowed to have a maximum of 30 grams of dried cannabis (or the equivalent) in public at any time. This is also the maximum you are allowed to purchase at one time. This is equal to 5 grams of fresh, 15 grams of an edible, 70 grams of a liquid, 0.25 grams of a solid or liquid concentrate, or a single cannabis plant seed. Our systems will automatically calculate the total amount you’re purchasing to keep you in line with the law.

  • How can I stay safe when consuming cannabis?

    • We advise that before purchasing any cannabis product you read the label or information available on the product page to become familiar with how much THC and CBD it contains. Health Canada and 1922 also recommend that you avoid consuming cannabis and alcohol at the same time. Doing so may cause more severe levels of impairment and adverse effects.

  • What is the legal age to buy cannabis?

    • Ontario law states that you must be 19 years and older to buy, use, possess and grow recreational cannabis. We must ID anyone that appears to be younger.

  • I’m visiting from out of province/out of country– can I still purchase at your store?

    • Ontario laws apply to cannabis bought and consumed in the province. While you’re staying in the province, feel free to come by! Make sure you’ve consumed your cannabis products before heading home to avoid any issues while travelling.
